Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise service
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while managing openTable reservations when applicable
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Clear tables promptly, bus tables as needed, and assist with basic food preparation or kitchen support when required
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system is a plus, along with general hospitality knowledge including serving, bussing, host/hostess experience, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
