Position Summary

The Utilities & Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance operations for plant equipment and facility systems. This role ensures the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Manager also leads maintenance teams, manages budgets, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Program Management

  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ensure reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and maintenance planning processes
  • Drive efficiency improvements to reduce downtime and operating costs

Maintenance Execution & Operations

  • Oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of work
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and system documentation

Systems, Procedures & Compliance

  • Implement maintenance policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ensure alignment with quality systems (QMS), regulatory standards, and HSE requirements
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to standardize maintenance practices

Monitoring, Analysis & Reporting

  • Track KPIs and equipment performance metrics
  • Identify trends and implement improvement plans
  • Prepare reports to support operational and strategic decisions

Project Management

  • Lead maintenance-related projects, including installations and upgrades
  • Coordinate resources, timelines, and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and safety requirements

Supplier & Contractor Management

  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Oversee outsourced maintenance work and ensure quality and compliance

Budget & Cost Management

  • Manage maintenance budgets and monitor expenses
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and asset utilization

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HSE, and Supply Chain teams
  • Serve as a key point of contact for maintenance-related initiatives


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6 years of experience in equipment and facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in managing and maintaining critical systems such as HVAC, pumps, chillers, and boilers
  • Additional experience in energy management (utility procurement, renewable energy) and sustainability/ESG initiatives (carbon reduction strategies, circular economy) is a PLUS
  • Proven leadership experience in maintenance operations
  • Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance systems
