What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Stevanato Group?
Field Service Technicians are responsible for on‑site installation, commissioning, and final acceptance of machines at customer locations, including completion of SAT activities.
** please note this is a travel heavy role. Must be willing to travel in the United States with short notice and act as 24/7 support (in planned shifts) availability for international travel (especially Europe for training and South America for maintenance tasks)
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission machines at customer sites
- Perform Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and support final machine handover
- Provide on‑site technical assistance and service support during machine operation
- Prepare, pre‑configure, and test machines in Italy prior to shipment
- Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in the presence of customers
- Troubleshoot electro‑mechanical and automation issues during installation and service activities
- Ensure all machines meet technical, quality, and customer requirements
- Document service, FAT, and SAT activities accurately
- Deliver a high level of customer service and represent Stevanato Group professionally at all times
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Background as a maintenance tech, automation tech, or similar technical role
- Minimum 3–5 years of field or technical service experience
- Technical Degree
- Strong electro‑mechanical skills
- Experience with PLC systems and industrial automation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, reporting)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Flexible, self‑motivated, and able to perform under stress
