What You'll Do
- Deliver treatment activities established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Help residents practice dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting with techniques suited to their functional needs.
- Incorporate prescribed activities that address upper-extremity movement, coordination, and endurance.
- Teach and reinforce adaptive equipment use and compensatory strategies within the OT's care plan.
- Share observations about progress, safety concerns, and treatment tolerance with the supervising OT.
- Document each session and collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to encourage carryover of daily living skills.
- $35–$38 per hour.
- PRN coverage arranged according to your availability and facility needs.
- Unlimited referral bonus, with up to $1,000 per successful referral.
- Collaboration with the therapy team and support from rehabilitation leadership.
- Active New York Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA certification.
- Strong observation skills and attention to resident safety.
- Clear communication and timely, accurate documentation.
- Skilled nursing experience is a plus; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Salary : $35 - $38
