Job description
20 hours per week including every other weekend 10a-4p and 2 days per week 11a-7p
Some responsibilities (but not limited to):
Working with Seniors to promote a therapeutic environment of physical, spiritual, and psychological well being.
Assist with evaluation and care plans for each resident
Documentation of daily participation of residents including attendance, moods, and behaviors
Following plan of care
Reporting of changes in resident demeanor
Must be able to deal with variety of people (i.e. residents, families, and visitors).
Sterling Village is a 143 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that is looking for a full time and part activities assistant including some holidays and every other weekend. No experience necessary, training provided.
The Activities Aide works closely with the Director of Activities to implement a full day of fun and interactive activities including crafts and events for our residents. The ideal candidate is experienced with long term care, a team player but able to work independently, can maintain a high level of enthusiasm, looks forward to a busy day that can make a difference for the people that call Sterling Village "home".
Requirements:
Prior experience in a SNF/LTC facility, preferably in Activities Department (encouraged)
