Job Summary
We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) to join a dedicated healthcare team in Silverdale, WA. This is a night shift contract role where your strong med-surg and telemetry experience will shine. If you can handle cardiac drips, read your own strips, and keep calm when things get busy, this could be your next great adventure!
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and respond to changes appropriately.
- Administer and manage drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin, and narcotics per protocol.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Support patient safety through camera-based close observation when applicable.
- Float between MS/PCU/ED boarding units as needed (flexibility is your superpower!).
- Document accurately in Epic EMR and maintain compliance with all care standards.
Qualifications
- Active WA RN license or Compact License required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience preferred.
- Strong ability to read cardiac strips and manage non-titrated drips.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR.
- Familiar with common MS/Tele diagnoses: CHF, COPD, CVA, Dementia, Kidney disorders, ETOH withdrawal, Cellulitis.
- Ability to manage 5:1 ratios (6:1 if inpatient boarding).
- Professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork under fast-paced conditions.
