Job Title: Project Engineering Manager
Location: Peru, Indiana
Salary: $125K -155K plus bonus
Job Summary of the Project Engineering Manager: As the Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex technical projects in the food industry in Peru, Indiana. This role involves leading a team of engineers, as well as designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions. Strong independent problem-solving skills are required to tackle challenging issues as they arise.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:
- Create engineering designs, material specifications, and cost estimates. Evaluate feasibility and economic viability of projects.
- Ensure compliance with standards and codes, validate field work, and create as-built documentation.
- Review engineering submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage project execution by coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Collaborate with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors to coordinate project schedules and implementation plans.
- Work with vendors and contractors on layout planning and utility requirements.
- Review consultant work, maintain project documentation, and oversee vendor relationships.
- Lead planning and reviews in the pre-project phases.
- Define project scope, evaluate proposals, and provide regular status updates to management.
- Manage contract administration, review bid packages, and ensure installations are within budget and specifications.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Project Engineering Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience including team management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, planning, teamwork, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Strong team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in engineering economics.
- Experience with managing multimillion-dollar projects preferred.
Salary : $125,000 - $155,000
