Compensation: $120-150k.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Controls Engineering Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of controls engineers while remaining hands-on with automation projects. This position will oversee controls design, PLC/HMI programming, machine integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support Controls Engineers.
- Provide technical direction for PLC, HMI, robotics, motion, and automation systems.
- Oversee controls design, programming, debugging, and commissioning.
- Support FATs, machine startups, installations, and customer launches.
- Review electrical schematics, I/O documentation, and controls architecture.
- Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, and Project Management teams.
- Develop and improve controls standards, processes, and engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot complex controls and automation issues.
Qualifications
- 5 years of controls or automation engineering experience.
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
- Allen-Bradley/Rockwell experience preferred.
- Experience with HMI, VFDs, motion control, robotics, and industrial networking.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Custom machinery, OEM, automation, or systems integration experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
