Sterling Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Vista Application Specialist to provide functional ERP support for Viewpoint Vista across our operating companies. This is a 1099 contract position based on-site in The Woodlands, TX and is ideal for a Vista expert who enjoys hands-on system support, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement in a collaborative environment.
This role serves as a key post-implementation support contact, partnering closely with business users, IT teams, and external consultants to ensure system stability, user adoption, and ongoing optimization of the Vista ERP platform.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to and resolve Vista ERP support tickets, ensuring issues are documented, tracked, and resolved through completion
- Provide functional support across Vista modules including Job Cost, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Project Management
- Troubleshoot Vista inquiries, Crystal Reports, and SSRS reports to meet business needs
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, developers, and external consultants to resolve issues, including functional and end-user testing
- Perform functional testing for Vista upgrades and related portals (e.g., HFF Portal)
- Create and maintain end-user training materials and functional support documentation
- Assist with data analysis, error resolution, and recommendations for process improvement
- Act as a trusted functional resource for business users, providing clear guidance and timely support
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista is required
- 5 years of experience supporting business process improvement or digital transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of construction or operational business processes and ERP workflows
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Crystal Reports, and SSRS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to influence, build consensus, and navigate complex organizational environments without direct authority
Contract Details
- 1099 independent contractor position
