- Set up and break down the dining room before and after each meal service
- Deliver meal trays to residents according to their individual dietary orders and tray tickets
- Verify each tray is correct before delivery — right resident, right diet, every time
- Assist residents with meal selection and accommodate food preferences
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize food prep surfaces, countertops, and the dining room after each meal
- Label, date, and store food items properly using FIFO rotation
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures per food safety guidelines
- Restock dining room and kitchen supplies as needed
- Report resident food refusals or low intake to the nurse or Dietary Manager promptly
- High school diploma or GED preferred — will consider all applicants
- Prior food service experience a plus — not required
- Food Handler Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions including diet orders
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Compassionate and patient when interacting with elderly residents
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
