- Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs for residents on our Dementia Unit
- Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs
- Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations
- Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program
- Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs
- Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment
- Document resident participation accurately in the activity record
- Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely
- Support volunteers and community visitors during programs
- Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations
- Certified Nurse Assistant, preferred but NOT required
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality
- Creative, energetic, and able to engage with others
- This is an Afternoon/Evening position - no exceptions will be made. Start by 2 p.m. and end at 830 p.m. No Weekend Work Required
- Previous experience doing activities with older adults preferred.
