Title: Electrical Test Technician
Role type: Direct Hire
Location: Richmond, VA
Starting Salary: $26-$28/hr Quarterly Bonuses (Optional Overtime at X1.5 pay also available)
- 1st Shift (7:00am–3:30pm)
- 2nd Shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) $1.25 shift differential
We’re hiring Electrical Test Technicians to test and troubleshoot medium- and low-voltage power distribution equipment (PDUs, switchgear, static switches, and more) on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical testing using multimeters, hi-pot testers, and other tools
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Document test data using standard software (Excel, Word, Modbus Poll, etc.)
- Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve test issues
- Maintain a clean, safe test area and follow electrical safety protocols (NFPA 70E, NEC)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience testing electrical equipment in a manufacturing or military setting
- Strong ability to read schematics and follow test procedures
- Comfortable using hand tools and test equipment
- Familiarity with 3-phase, AC/DC systems, and power distribution concepts
- Willingness to work overtime/weekends as needed
Preferred:
- Technical degree or military training in electronics/electrical systems
- Experience with data center or mission-critical power equipment
