Key Responsibilities
- Lead field survey crews on projects including topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, construction stakeout, and FEMA Elevation Certification surveys.
- Operate and maintain advanced survey equipment such as total stations, GPS units, robotic instruments, and 3D scanners.
- Perform survey calculations using trigonometry, geometry, and algebra to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Interpret construction plans, plats, and legal descriptions to support field operations.
- Prepare and maintain clear, accurate, and detailed field notes and documentation.
- Troubleshoot field issues and make real-time decisions to keep projects on schedule.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Enforce company safety standards and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
- 3-6 years of experience in land surveying or a related utility-based field.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel full-time to project sites.
- NSPS/CST Level II certification.
- Experience with modern survey technologies, including GPS, LiDAR, UAS, and GIS.
- Familiarity with CAD software for map and plan preparation.
- Primarily field-based with outdoor work in varying conditions.
- Requires leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
