The Network Engineer manages network architecture, ensures secure and reliable connectivity, and partners with internal teams to optimize performance and support organizational needs.
Job Duties:
- Support daily operations of network hardware and systems, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Configure, maintain, and support firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and related equipment.
- Participate in network design, upgrades, and implementation for voice and data systems.
- Analyze network traffic, forecast future needs, and recommend improvements.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including IDS/IPS and VPNs.
- Monitor cloud and data center environments for performance and security issues.
- Perform and document routine network changes and updates.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network, hardware, and software issues.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in network architecture, design, and support.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Expertise with firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and voice systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience leading network upgrades, migrations, or related projects.
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
