Job Duties
- Lead implementation of advanced geospatial technologies, including mobile and terrestrial LiDAR, UAV/drone operations, and 3D scanning.
- Identify emerging technologies and develop strategies to integrate them into survey operations.
- Train and mentor survey managers and field crews on new tools and geospatial workflows.
- Develop and maintain CAD standards and templates using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Establish quality control procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables.
- Provide technical oversight for multi-state survey projects across energy, utility, and infrastructure sectors.
- Support proposal development, scope creation, and budget planning for geospatial services.
- Monitor project progress and address risks or variances impacting delivery.
- Identify new business opportunities and support client relationship development.
- Collaborate with engineering and other technical teams to expand survey service integration.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS / PS) license required.
- 10 years of progressive survey experience with both field and office leadership.
- Hands-on expertise with LiDAR (mobile and terrestrial), UAV/drone operations, and 3D scanning.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center (TBC).
- Experience managing multiple survey projects across energy, utility, or transportation sectors.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GIS or point cloud processing platforms (e.g., ArcGIS) is a plus.
