Job Summary:
- This role is responsible for supervising daily production and sanitation operations, ensuring that manufacturing targets, quality standards, and cost objectives are consistently achieved. The position provides leadership and direction to hourly team members in alignment with company policies and operational priorities.
- Coordinate, assign, and oversee daily work activities to optimize labor utilization, equipment efficiency, and production output while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and support production team members by setting expectations, monitoring performance, communicating schedule updates, and resolving operational challenges to ensure on-time order fulfillment.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with leadership and cross-functional teams regarding production status, including any risks to timelines or performance.
- Ensure adherence to product quality standards; promptly escalate concerns and implement corrective actions through training and reinforcement of procedures.
- Oversee sanitation processes and equipment functionality, including familiarity with clean-in-place (CIP) systems, and address timekeeping or labor tracking discrepancies.
- Develop and deliver role-specific training to employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and general housekeeping standards.
- Monitor inventory handling practices, including proper work order completion, FIFO compliance, and allergen control across all storage areas.
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing policies, investigating incidents and near misses, and implementing preventative corrective actions.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and audit readiness at all times, supporting compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and food safety protocols.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience within the food production industry
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Experience with sanitation processes and CIP systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with production equipment, packaging processes, and operational capacity planning
- Basic proficiency with standard computer systems and software applications
- English fluency (spoken and written)
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
