Title: Process Technician
Location: Milpitas, CA
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift : Multiple Shifts
- 1st shift: Mon - Fri 6a till 2:30p
- 2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3p till 11p
Compensation: $32/hr to $35/hr DOE - plus $1 shift diff for 2nd shift!

Overview:
The Process Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing and engineering operations through equipment troubleshooting, process improvement, testing, documentation, and production support activities. This role works closely with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and within quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Duties:
- Support engineering and production teams with daily manufacturing operations
- Perform equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic repairs
- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Assist with testing, validation, and data collection for engineering projects
- Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and production records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
- Utilize hand tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues to minimize disruptions
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
- Work collaboratively with technicians, operators, and engineers to support production goals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Process Technician, Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technician, or similar role preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand tools, measurement tools, and basic testing equipment
- Documentation experience preferred (SOPs, work instructions, process documentation, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Associate degree or technical training preferred but not required
