This is a long term onsite contract in Fremont, CA 94538. Swing Shift, Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

- Ability to work in a clean room environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE), cleanroom suit, or smock
- Some experience with sample preparation, SEM imaging/relevant laboratory or microscopy work

Duties:
- Performs technical tests and experiments for process engineering within R&D.
- Performs set up of processing equipment.
- Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators.
- Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
- Provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
- Provides engineering support mainly execution of requests accurately and communication of outcomes for customer process demonstrations or internal projects
- Determines appropriate sample preparation technique and prepares samples for projects including wafer cleaving, coating, mounting/unmounting and assembly of wafers
- Modifies process recipe formulations and executes processing requirements on proprietary tools
- Determines appropriate metrology method needed while taking into consideration the image quality requirements and feature of interest for the inspection of the cleaved as well as whole wafers and executes requests under optimal imaging conditions on the metrology tools such as thin film ellipsometers, SEM tools after training
- Implements process monitoring for different tool sets, compiles and evaluates test data to compare to appropriate process limits or materials specification
- Interface with cross functional teams for troubleshooting, assist with tool performance checks and general clean room lab operations
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects, comfortable working with different web applications to log data and communicate effectively
- May provide informal guidance and support to junior team members
