We're hiring a Senior Mechanical Designer to join a growing Engineering Automation team within a global manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for experienced designers who enjoy owning complex automation and machine design projects from concept through production.

- Lead mechanical design of automation systems, equipment, and tooling
- Design and integrate mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Develop advanced machine concepts, layouts, and specifications
- Create and oversee manufacturing & assembly drawings
- Drive prototype builds, testing, and design refinement
- Improve designs for reliability, efficiency, and cost
- Manage project timelines and engineering workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing and engineering teams
- Conduct design reviews and implement changes from test/production feedback
- Mentor junior designers and provide technical leadership
- Support continuous improvement and long-term equipment evolution
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of mechanical design experience in automation or manufacturing
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience designing:
- Full machines
- Automation systems
- Robotics or integrated production equipment
- Ability to lead projects independently and work cross-functionally
