We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a fast-paced automation team designing custom packaging and conveyor systems for high-throughput manufacturing environments.
This is a highly hands-on design role where engineering decisions directly impact machine performance on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design custom automation and conveyor equipment
- Perform high-volume sheet metal design (20–30 iterations daily)
- Size and select gearbox systems for motion applications
- Perform motor sizing and selection for automated equipment
- Design and size pneumatic systems and components
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure manufacturability
- Support machine debug, integration, and commissioning as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in mechanical design for automation or capital equipment
- Extensive experience with sheet metal design in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with:
- Gearbox sizing
- Motor sizing
- Pneumatic system design
- Strong understanding of fabrication and real-world machine build constraints
