Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze production data to establish baselines and identify improvement opportunities
- Generate and evaluate ideas for process development improvements
- Design and simulate cellular/system layouts, time studies, process flows, and line balancing activities
- Support prototype builds from concept through final implementation
- Read, create, and interpret mechanical engineering drawings to support development work
- Produce accurate 2D operational layouts to support manufacturing optimization
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree
- 3 to 7 years of related work experience required
- Proficiency with factory floor simulation tool(s) such as FlexSim or Visual Components
- Must be highly proficient with MS Office, MS Visio, SolidWorks/Dassault Systems, and 2D AutoCAD
- Must have experience in utilizing lean manufacturing, six sigma, and DFMA methodologies.
- Minimal travel as needed to support engineering initiatives
