What You'll Do Each Day:
- Be the go-to expert for maintaining and optimizing automated systems — from fine-tuning robotic arms to troubleshooting multi-system electrical/mechanical issues.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components to keep production moving.
- Perform and track preventive maintenance on automation and process support equipment.
- Use your skills to read complex schematics and blueprints, and bring clarity to technical challenges.
- Collaborate with engineers and automation teams to fine-tune and qualify new systems.
- Analyze test data, propose solutions, and help implement performance-enhancing modifications.
- Document your process, contribute ideas, and ensure systems and software are always up to date.
- Mentor junior techs and operators, helping elevate the entire team’s capability.
- Always prioritize safety and proper use of power tools and measurement equipment.
- An Associate’s degree, vocational training, military technical background, or equivalent hands-on experience in automation or industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and automation best practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- A solutions-focused mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
- A working knowledge of Flex manufacturing techniques is a plus.
- Technical curiosity, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.
