Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair power generation equipment within a large manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate steam boilers and ancillary equipment per local and state standards.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair steam boilers and ancillary equipment including compressors, generators, and pumps.
- Provide coverage when a Stationary Engineer is needed at a facility.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the steam boiler and ancillary equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems, including pneumatic and plumbing problems related to boilers.
- Organize and maintain equipment, department spare parts inventory, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; requisition of parts; verifying receipt.
- Maintain daily logs, equipment documentation, PM documentation, work orders, pass downs, and time sheets.
- Assist plant maintenance when required.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair all boiler and related equipment to reduce waste and maintain efficiency.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or some college or certification preferred.
- 5 years experience as a maintenance mechanic for a large facility.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, job knowledge, productivity.
- Must be a self-starter and possess strong mechanical skills.
