Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee shipping, receiving, and material handling within a cold storage food environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role manages one supervisor and a small team of Inventory and Material Handlers, ensuring efficient operations that keep production on schedule.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods between production, warehouses, and customers.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, scheduling, and inventory control in a confined warehouse environment.
- Maintain compliance with SOPs, safety programs, and forklift training standards.
- Monitor and track KPIs, update productivity boards, and ensure smooth shift handoffs.
- Manage driver schedules, shipment releases, and reconcile BOLs with inventory records.
- Support cycle counts, payroll submissions, and accounting reconciliations.
- Partner with leadership on warehouse layout/redesign projects to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 4 years of logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse experience (cold storage required; food industry highly preferred).
- Supervisory experience leading small teams.
- Knowledge of forklift safety, lifting safety, working from heights, and racking systems.
- Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar applications.
