Job Overview


Sterling Constructors is seeking a technically skilled and field-proven Project Manager to lead commercial and federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a results-driven construction professional who thrives in complex environments, takes full ownership of project outcomes, and is comfortable traveling for project assignments.


You will oversee subcontractors, manage schedules and budgets, collaborate directly with clients and design teams, and play a key role in delivering federally contracted projects across Colorado and select out-of-state locations.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):


Manage the full project lifecycle from preconstruction planning through project closeout


Provide daily oversight of on-site operations, subcontractor performance, and job site safety


Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, billing, and cost controls


Ensure contract compliance, quality standards, and regulatory adherence, including prevailing wage requirements when applicable


Review submittals, manage RFIs, and process change orders


Lead regular communication with clients, architects, and engineers


Conduct jobsite meetings and provide strong field leadership focused on execution and accountability


Support procurement processes and value engineering initiatives


Coordinate and support out-of-state projects as required


Qualifications


5 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Superintendent in commercial construction


Demonstrated success managing ground-up construction, major renovations, and large MEP scopes


Strong knowledge of construction methods, project lifecycle, and contract administration


Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts


Proven experience managing subcontractors and field teams


Proficiency with project management and scheduling software


Excellent communication and organizational skills


Strong drive for professional growth and leadership development


Willingness to travel for out-of-state project assignments


Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)

Salary: $95,000 – $115,000 annually, plus Year-End Bonus

Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible and hybrid work options
