Job Summary:
An Automotive Service Writer serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role involves greeting customers, listening to their vehicle concers, recommending maintenance and repairs, preparing estimates, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience from check-in through vehicle pickup.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare accurate repair orders and cost estimates.
- Schedule service appointments and manage workflow.
- Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle inspections and repair status.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
- Obtain customer approval for additional repairs or services.
- Review completed work with customers and explain invoices.
- Process payments and close repair orders.
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
- Promote preventative maintenance services.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance wtih dealership or shop policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous automotive service advisor, service writer, or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and mainenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking ablities.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with service management software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Benifits: Pay up to $250 for health benefits, Retirement plan offered and percentage matched, vacation pay available.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
