What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Associate position at Sterling Automotive Group?
Sterling Premium Select Johnston in Lafayette, LA is hiring! We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business.
As a Lot Associate, you will maintain the dealership car lot to provide an organized, safe, and efficient means of viewing and maneuvering of vehicles. You’ll perform a variety of dealership responsibilities as it relates to vehicle and key check-in, and maintaining vehicle inventory.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of incoming vehicles (transport trucks and other deliveries)
- Photograph vehicles and upload to company website
- Keep vehicle lot organized per Manager direction
- Safely maneuver and park vehicles in tight/crowded spaces, including larger and manual vehicles
- Assist sales staff and customers while maintaining a professional environment
- Work outdoors and remain on feet for extended periods (walking and standing)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be 21 or have at least 3 years of driving experience
- Comfortable operating all vehicle types in a busy lot
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor; coachable attitude
- Willing to complete background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
