Imagine Yourself Here At your dedicated bench in our Chesterfield, MO Repair Lab, you examine an endoscope under a microscope, pinpoint a defect using standardized testing procedures, replace or repair precise components, reassemble, and then verify performance to spec. You identify potential risks, escalate issues quickly, complete required safety observations, and document your work—so the device returns to the clinician ready for use. Your Impact Perform basic to intermediate repairs and subassemblies of surgical devices and equipment.Use hand tools, power tools, and microscopes to inspect, diagnose, and correct defects.Troubleshoot and reassemble instruments; test assemblies to confirm conformance.Identify risks and escalate appropriately and on time.Follow SWI and support Company ISO goals and requirements.Complete workplace organization audits and safety observations.Adhere to all safety and health policies; use PPE as required. Location & Hours On-site: Chesterfield, MO Repair Lab with a dedicated workbench.Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.Flexibility: Early/late hours, including evenings/weekends, may be required based on Customer and business needs. You Bring High School diploma or GED.2 years of work experience with at least 1 year of relevant repair/assembly/product testing, or 1 year at STERIS; all experience must be verifiable.Transferable experience could include small engine repair; cell phone/electronics repair, testing, or rebuilds; carpentry; circuit board assembly/repair; industrial sewing; jewelry repair; maintenance; construction; or automotive repair.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push instrument carts ranging from 10–150 lbs at times.Comfort with flexible schedules that may extend beyond standard business hours.Related technical/mechanical certifications, competitive equipment training, or relevant military experience may be considered toward meeting the experience requirement. Preferred Skills Soldering, brazing, or similar fine mechanical techniques.Vocational/Technical degree.Technical training certifications.
