Position Title: Grounds Maintenance Laborer (Debris Monitoring)

Location: Alexandria VA Medical Center Pineville, Louisiana

Schedule: Monday through Friday 0700 to 1530 hours (8 hours per day) Federal holidays

excluded Employment Type: Full-Time (Service Contract Act covered position)

Position Summary: The Grounds Maintenance Laborer is responsible for the continuous monitoring and removal of debris throughout all exterior areas of the Alexandria VA Medical Center.

This position supports facility cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance by performing routine manual labor in strict accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Primary

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor assigned exterior areas, including roads, walkways, sidewalks, and parking lot

• Collect, handle, and properly dispose of trash and debris such as paper, plastic, food waste, cigarett butts, and natural debris

• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the workday, not limited to scheduled interval

• Coordinate with on-site supervision and comply with daily task adjustments as directed by facilit needs

• Sign in and out daily at the designated Grounds Shop location

• Perform duties in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dusty environment * Comply with all VA safety, security, and identification requirements at all time Required

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform continuous manual labor throughout an eight-hour workda

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift moderate loads for extended period

• Dependable attendance and punctuality to support continuous site coverag

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accuratel

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a VA-issued Non-PIV identification badg Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in grounds maintenance, custodial services, or outdoor labor position * Familiarity with healthcare, federal, or institutional facility environmen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
