Primary Function: Provide technical analysis and hands-on support for a Federal customer’s enterprise Microsoft 365 (M365) automation and certificate-management workflows, including requirements decomposition, configuration, solution support, integration assistance, and user-focused technical troubleshooting.
The Microsoft 365 / Power Platform Technical Consultant (Systems Analyst) supports a Federal customer’s Microsoft 365 modernization and automation efforts. The role translates business and technical needs into actionable requirements, supports configuration and development activities across Power Platform and M365 services, assists with automation deployments, and provides Tier 2/3 operational support. The Consultant works closely with the Information Systems Engineer Lead, Architecture Consultants, Developers, Security Specialist, and QA Analyst to ensure secure, reliable, and user-aligned solutions within the Government tenant.
Requirements:
Requirements Analysis & Solution Support
- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for M365 automation and certificate management use cases.
- Decompose requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items aligned to sprint delivery.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, implementation tasks, and delivered functionality.
M365 / Power Platform Implementation
- Configure and support solutions in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) as directed by architecture and lead engineering.
- Assist with development of automation workflows, integrations, and supporting scripts.
- Support environment governance processes including solution packaging, ALM handoffs, and controlled deployments.
Automation Operations & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for deployed automations and M365 solution components.
- Diagnose workflow failures, connector issues, permission problems, and performance degradation; propose fixes.
- Coordinate with Developers and QA to validate fixes and execute regression testing.
Security & Governance Alignment
- Ensure automation and configuration tasks comply with Federal Customer’s tenant governance, DLP policies, and least-privilege access controls.
- Support Security Specialist in documenting security impacts, access models, and auditability for solutions.
Documentation & User Enablement
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and user guidance for automation solutions.
- Support training or knowledge-transfer sessions with Government stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity) is recommended.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 (M365) environments in large corporate or government settings.
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments, including Power Platform and core M365 services.
- Strong systems analysis background: requirements gathering, user story development, and solution traceability.
- Hands-on knowledge of Power Automate workflows, connectors, and integration patterns.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex tenant and automation issues, including permissions, data flows, and service limits.
- Working knowledge of scripting or automation support tools (PowerShell, REST/Graph API exposure preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for federal stakeholders.

- PL-400 – Power Platform Developer Associate
- PL-200 – Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
- MS-102 – Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (or MS-900 Fundamentals as baseline)
- SC-300 – Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (Entra ID/Azure AD)
Security / Cloud: (At least 1, but more strongly preferred)
- CompTIA Security
- SSCP – Systems Security Certified Practitioner
- AZ-500 – Azure Security Engineer Associate (if supporting identity/cert automation)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting certificate lifecycle automation or PKI-adjacent solutions within M365 or Azure environments.
- Familiarity with federal security controls (FISMA/NIST 800-53) and tenant governance models.
- Experience working in Agile/DevSecOps delivery teams supporting production enterprise services.
Salary & Requirements
- Work Environment: Remote delivery with Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)
- Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required; candidate must successfully pass Federal background investigation checks.
- Salary Range: $85,000-$125,000
