The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading all sales, marketing, and revenue-generating initiatives for Hotel Indigo Williamsburg, a lifestyle boutique hotel in the heart of Brooklyn. This role drives top-line performance by developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating key accounts, maximizing group and transient business, and positioning the hotel as a premier destination for leisure, corporate, and social travelers.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, hands-on leader with strong market knowledge of New York City, a passion for lifestyle hospitality, and a proven ability to build relationships, drive demand, and exceed revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Lead group, corporate, leisure, and local negotiated account sales efforts.
- Identify new market opportunities and proactively pursue business through prospecting, networking, and partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to align pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies.
Marketing & Brand Positioning
- Oversee marketing initiatives that reflect the Hotel Indigo brand and the unique character of Williamsburg.
- Partner with corporate marketing, digital agencies, and PR partners to drive awareness and demand.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels, including website, social media, and third-party platforms.
- Support promotional campaigns for rooms, F&B outlets, and local experiences.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and conduct regular sales meetings and training.
- Act as a key member of the hotel’s executive leadership team.
Client & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, local businesses, community organizations, and industry partners.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and community functions.
- Position the hotel as a destination for groups, events, and social functions in Brooklyn.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports and forecasts.
- Manage the sales and marketing budget effectively.
- Ensure accurate use of CRM and sales systems in alignment with IHG standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably in a lifestyle or boutique hotel.
- Strong knowledge of the NYC / Brooklyn hospitality market.
- Proven success in driving group, corporate, and transient business.
- NY and IHG brand experience preferred.
- Experience with IHG systems and brand standards preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Compensation
A competitive base salary (115k-140k) and bonus structure commensurate with experience will be offered.
