We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Teacher Associate to join our Fall/Winter and Spring programs at our childcare center. In this role, you will help support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and create a nurturing, engaging environment for young learners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support classroom activities while implementing curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards, including play-based and nature-inspired learning experiences
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate activities and positive guidance
- Develop and prepare lesson plans that are interactive, creative, and aligned with educational goals
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring safety and encouraging positive behavior
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support each child’s individual needs and development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and classroom updates
- Support behavior management strategies and help create an inclusive, welcoming classroom community
Qualifications
- Teacher Associate, Childcare certificate, Apprenticeship certification, or 21 college credits in early childhood education.
- Previous experience in an early childhood education or daycare setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies, early intervention practices, and inclusive education approaches
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Certification, coursework, or training related to early childhood education is required
