Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

What You'll Do
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Deliver engaging, play-based, and evidence-based therapy sessions that support communication, articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency, and feeding goals, as appropriate.
- Accurately document treatment sessions, progress notes, and daily clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Collect objective data and communicate client progress to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare treatment materials and maintain an organized therapy environment.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate and support caregivers by reinforcing home practice activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid requirements, company policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain productivity and documentation standards established by the organization.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Current Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license in good standing.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced pediatric environment.
- Passion for helping children and families succeed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric therapy experience (clinic, school, or early intervention).
- Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language delays, articulation disorders, developmental delays, ADHD, and other communication disorders.
- Experience with AAC devices is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, kneel, squat, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to actively engage in floor play, movement-based activities, and hands-on pediatric therapy sessions.
