As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all daily operations within your assigned branch. This role requires a balance of hands-on leadership, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making.
We are seeking a candidate with multiple years of hands-on plumbing and home services industry experience, along with a strong understanding of field operations, customer service, and team leadership. Prior experience working directly in plumbing, drain cleaning, sewer, excavation, restoration, or other home service-related environments is strongly preferred.
You will manage a team of skilled field technicians and administrative staff while ensuring efficient service delivery, strong financial performance, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This position plays a key role in driving branch growth, maintaining compliance with safety and industry regulations, and upholding company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service excellence
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize workflow and performance
- Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, and job completion to maximize resource utilization
Financial Management (P&L Responsibility)
- Manage full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for the branch
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability to meet or exceed financial targets
- Implement cost-control strategies while supporting sustainable revenue growth
- Assist in strategic budgeting and forecasting activities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, supervise, and mentor field technicians and administrative staff
- Foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven work culture
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance evaluations
- Support employee development and retention initiatives
Customer Service & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all services meet or exceed company quality standards
- Monitor customer satisfaction and service feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Respond to escalated customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience
Vendor & Business Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Negotiate service agreements and ensure cost-effective partnerships
- Coordinate with external partners to support operational needs
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate branch performance
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Report regularly on performance metrics, financial status, and operational outcomes
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Promote a strong safety culture across all field and office operations
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to improve workflow efficiency
- Support marketing and business development efforts at the branch level
- Align operational goals with overall company objectives
Industry Awareness
- Stay current on plumbing, water cleanup, and restoration industry trends
- Monitor market developments and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Recommend innovations and improvements to enhance service delivery

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and home services operations, including service work, installations, troubleshooting, and field workflows (required).
- Proven experience managing full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities with a strong track record of driving profitability, efficiency, and cost control.
- Prior leadership experience within plumbing, drain cleaning, sewer, or broader home services industry strongly required.
- Strong understanding of plumbing field operations, technician workflow, dispatch coordination, and customer service processes.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop field and office team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Solid understanding of operational processes, job costing, and service-based business best practices.
- Proficiency in software systems for scheduling, dispatching, reporting, and operational tracking (ServiceTitan or similar preferred).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with changing priorities and field-driven demands.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and accountability in operational leadership situations.
