Description

Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Manassas, and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for Inside Sales Representative & Lead Generation Specialist at our Baltimore, MD location.

The Inside Sales Representative & Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for driving equipment sales, generating and managing leads, handling inbound customer inquiries, and engaging with both new and lost customers. This role focuses primarily on selling JCB compact equipment while also supporting the field sales team by identifying and qualifying potential sales opportunities.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

Equipment Sales & Pipeline Management

  • Sell, lease, and rent a diverse inventory, including new JCB compact equipment (SSLs, CTLs, TSs, MEX), used units, and the SEI rental fleet.
  • Proactively initiate sales opportunities to expand customer reach and meet profit goals.
  • Convert inbound inquiries (calls/emails) and walk-ins into qualified sales opportunities and appointments.
  • Utilize social media platforms to identify and build a database of prospects.
  • Partner with Outside Sales Reps by qualifying leads and providing detailed insights for closing.

Proactive Lead Generation

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls to engage and qualify prospects.
  • Utilize UCC Finance filings to build targeted weekly prospect lists.
  • Leverage social media and digital campaigns for brand awareness and lead acquisition.
  • Maintain records in CRM and provide weekly reports on call activity, conversion rates, and revenue impact.

Requirements

The best fit to our team will have:

  • 2 years in retail, customer service, inside sales or the equipment industry.
  • Proven ability to handle 50 outbound calls per day with high energy.
  • Ability to learn JCB product specifications and construction equipment applications.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability in performing complex calculations including rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to analyze data sets and translate findings into clear visual formats, such as bar graphs and charts, to support decision-making.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Office environment with moderate noise; computers, printers, and customer traffic. Work requires a combination of sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as standing and walking. Ability to lift 25lbs.
