Stephens Reed & Armstrong PLLC is a litigation, arbitration, trial, and appellate law firm located in Houston, Texas. The firm currently consists of 13 lawyers, 5 paralegals, an office manager and 2 assistant office managers (reception and billing/collections). We want you to join our team.
We want to welcome to our team an experienced litigation attorney to work with our commercial litigation and injury defense team. The candidate will defend the government against tort claims, employment claims, and 42 USC 1983 claims.
We are a litigation boutique. We also represent business ranging in size from sole proprietors to fortune 100 companies who have been wronged in some way. When you join our team, you will work on matters on both sides of the practice.
The firm has a reasonable billable hour requirement. Employees enjoy a diverse team and a familial environment. The firm pays for CLEs, bar dues, and work-related expenses.
Ideally, the candidate will be comfortable managing associates, drafting and arguing complex motions, taking depositions, preparing discovery, and trying cases. The candidate will work well under pressure and will have the ability to meet tough deadlines. The candidate must have strong legal writing skills, should be able to work with limited supervision, and work with other associates.
The candidate will join a team that is managed by a partner and will work with other associates and staff to litigate the firm's busy docket of litigation cases.
License/Certification: Member of Texas State Bar in Good Standing
Job Type: Full-time, salaried
Annual salary : Negotiable, depending on your level of experience and qualifications
