SPECIALTY DISTRIBUTION & BUSINESS SERVICES
Our Specialty Distribution & Business Services groups have a long-tenured team of experts who bring sector and execution expertise to middle market founder-owned and institutionally backed businesses. Our senior bankers have strong relationships across a variety of distribution and services sectors, with sub-sector areas of focus including engineered products, industrial supplies and equipment, automotive aftermarket, commercial and residential services, professional services and other tech-enabled services. We have extensive experience conducting successful M&A transactions on both the buy side and sell side, as well as equity and debt capital raises.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Associates & Vice Presidents hold a range of responsibilities that can include mentoring analysts, executing transactions, supporting business development, and maintaining client relationships. Key tasks include:
- Playing a key role in the transaction execution process
- Developing, and overseeing the development of, detailed financial analyses and the preparation of models for various types of transactions
- Performing extensive valuation and pricing analyses
- Creating Confidential Information Presentations, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Helping plan and execute live engagements
- Coordinating and performing business due diligence
- Creation and execution of business development and marketing plans in coordination with Senior Bankers.
- Performing industry research and comparable company analysis
- Training and developing analysts and associates (as applicable)
- Recruit, educate, and train Investment Banking Analysts and Associates (as applicable)
- Building relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients
- Performing other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of investment banking or an MBA with 1 years of investment banking experience
- Experience advising clients in the broader industrials space; experience with Specialty Distribution and/or Business Services is preferred
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills
- High energy with strong interpersonal, accounting and finance skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
