Key Account Inside Sales Support & Sales Rep Liaison

Position Overview
Stephen Joseph Inc. is seeking a Key Account Inside Sales Support & Sales Rep Liaison to serve as a critical internal support role for both our inside-managed Key Accounts and our outside sales representative network. This position acts as the primary internal point of contact for sales reps while also assisting the Inside Sales team with Key Account support, ensuring seamless communication, execution, and follow-through across sales channels.
This role works closely with the Director of Sales on outside rep support initiatives and partners daily with Sales Support Managers and Inside Key Account Sales on account management needs. For the right candidate, this position offers upward growth potential, with opportunities to take on expanded responsibility within Sales, Key Account Management, or Sales Operations over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outside Sales Rep Liaison
- Serve as the primary internal go-to contact for the outside sales force
- Own and oversee all sales rep support assets, including samples, product data, and internal resources
- Coordinate with Sales Support and Operations to assist reps with orders, product questions, inventory availability, and account needs
- Support rep onboarding, seasonal launches, and sales initiatives
- Assist with internal outbound sales and outreach campaigns as needed
Inside Key Account Support
- Provide day-to-day support for inside-managed Key Accounts in partnership with the Inside Sales team
- Assist with order entry, order maintenance, product information, and account follow-ups
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of product data and account details across systems
- Help manage workload overflow for the Sales Support department based on volume and bandwidth
Cross-Functional & Market Support
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Sales Support, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure smooth execution of processes
- Assist with seasonal trade shows and market weeks as needed (potential for occasional travel)
- Support continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and documentation
SYSTEMS & TOOLS
- Sage 300 (ERP)
- Accellos / Körber (WMS)
- MarketTime (road & showroom order writing and submission software)
- Microsoft-based environment (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 2 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, account management, or a related role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable supporting multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with ERP, WMS, or sales order platforms a plus (Sage 300, MarketTime experience preferred but not required)
