Role Description The Primary Packaging Sales role is a full-time hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for prospecting and managing accounts in primary packaging, identifying opportunities with existing and new customers, and driving sales growth across target markets. Day-to-day activities include meeting with clients, understanding their packaging needs, collaborating with internal design, engineering, and operations teams to develop solutions, and preparing proposals and quotations. The role involves monitoring market trends, attending relevant industry events or customer visits, and maintaining accurate records in CRM and reporting tools. The Primary Packaging Sales professional will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and account management skills, including prospecting, opportunity development, and relationship building with B2B customers.
- Knowledge of primary packaging, packaging materials, and manufacturing or supply chain processes relevant to consumer products or related industries.
- Skills in communication, presentation, and negotiation, with the ability to explain technical concepts and value propositions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with basic business analysis, pricing, and forecasting, using CRM and productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar, Microsoft Office, Excel).
- Ability to collaborate with design, engineering, and operations teams to translate customer requirements into feasible packaging solutions.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple opportunities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in packaging sales, industrial sales, or related fields is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
