Compliance/Executive Assistant

Step One is a private, family run NYS OASAS & OMH Certified Outpatient clinic Treatment Center since 1994 seeking a Compliance/Executive Assistant to join our team.

Position Summary

The Compliance Officer’s Assistant supports the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and also supports the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in ensuring the organization adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and accreditation standards. This position supports audits, documentation review, policy updates, training coordination, incident tracking, and quality improvement activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist with compliance monitoring, including adherence to OASAS/OMH regulations.

· Conduct routine chart reviews and internal audits.

· Track compliance findings and follow up with Compliance Officer/leadership.

· Support preparation of corrective action plans.

· Maintain compliance logs including incidents, grievances, and training.

· Track and support incident reviews and internal investigations.

· Provide administrative and organizational support for COO-related executive functions, including scheduling, document preparation, and coordination of leadership meetings.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

· Experience in behavioral health or healthcare compliance preferred.

· Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and OASAS/OMH regulations is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

· Ability to manage multiple deadlines.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Working Conditions

May require travel between agency sites. Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
