Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Caregiver who already has their own client base to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their homes or community settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your expertise in patient observation, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer's care will be vital in delivering exceptional support. This position offers an exciting opportunity for self-motivated caregivers to expand their impact while maintaining their existing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe health status to promptly report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals
- Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities (IADLs), including shopping, transportation, and social engagement
- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Experience
- Proven caregiving experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior care or individuals with disabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs
- Familiarity with medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and blood pressure monitors
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly
- Prior experience developing or following personalized care plans and administering medications accurately
