Job Overview

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other educational philosophies.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports social-emotional development.
• Conduct assessments of children's progress through standardized testing, observations, and informal evaluations to tailor instruction effectively.
• Foster literacy education through storytelling, reading activities, and language development exercises to enhance early reading and writing skills.
• Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting lessons and collaborating with specialists to meet individual requirements.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions between activities while maintaining discipline and child welfare.
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to update them on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers or early learners.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development methods such as Montessori or other preschool educational approaches.
• Experience in literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and classroom management is highly desirable.
• Ability to plan lessons effectively and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, including those requiring special education support.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists effectively.
• Certification in early childhood education or a related field is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
