Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong Python and AWS experience to support a password-security modernization initiative. The project involves migrating password management from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, improving process-account security, and integrating applications with HashiCorp Vault.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to understand existing applications, processes, and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain Python applications supporting the modernization initiative.
- Migrate password-management processes from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.
- Redesign process-account usage to improve credential security and reduce shared-password risks.
- Modify applications to retrieve credentials securely from HashiCorp Vault.
- Update application identity-management processes as needed.
- Deploy and support application updates during the migration.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude, where appropriate.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with AWS CDK, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault and secrets management.
- Experience integrating applications with secure credential-management systems.
- Ability to work independently after onboarding.
- Experience with C# and legacy application support.
- Experience with cloud migration or application modernization.
- Familiarity with process accounts, application identities, and password-security practices.
