Job Summary (Project Manager 3 / Scrum Master) (Lansing, MI)
- Serve as Scrum Master for Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Accounts Receivable and Collections (ARC) Project.
- Coach Agile teams on Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile (SAFe, etc.) practices.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Review, and Retrospectives.
- Remove impediments, negotiate dependencies, and protect the team from distractions.
- Foster team collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability.
- Guide Product Owners in backlog refinement, story decomposition, estimation, and prioritization.
- Support teams building complex, integration-heavy, API-driven, or data-centric financial/debt management software.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements (e.g., PCI, SOC, FFIEC).
- Utilize Azure DevOps for Agile lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product, architecture, compliance, operations).
- Lead multiple Agile teams or scaled program initiatives as needed.
- Support Quality Assurance processes and post-deployment validation.
- Communicate with stakeholders; facilitate executive reporting and KPI/dashboard updates.
- Maintain a positive, motivating influence in a hybrid work environment (on-site in Lansing, MI, 2 days/week).
- Drive transparency, predictability, and continuous delivery within the project.
- Contribute to Agile Centers of Excellence or process governance as applicable.
- Only local candidates (within 90 miles of Lansing, MI) will be considered.
- Hybrid work model; no remote-only option.
- Relevant Agile/Scrum certifications required (SAFe SSM/SASM, CSM, PSM I/II, ICP-ACC, etc.).
- 7 years Scrum Master experience in enterprise software environments required.
