What are the responsibilities and job description for the Haley Bagger Operator OCD position at Stemilt?
Number of openings: 1 Fulltime, Year Round
Location: C line- Old Station
Working Shift: Day shift
Hours & Work Days: 5:30 am – 1:30 pm Monday – Friday; Hours may vary depending on production.
These positions will require a pre-employment drug test.
Summary
The objective of this position is to maintain the efficiency and operation of the bagging machine and ensure the timely and accurate operation of this station by performing the following duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and understand Stemilt pack schedules.
- Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Must be able to read, speak and write English.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintenance of bagging machine, including cleaning as necessary.
- Must learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.
- Direct crew of 2 to 6 employees packing bags from machine.
- Displays an excellent ability to communicate.
- Maintains pace with production line.
- Maintains efficient and clean work area.
- Know Stemilt fruit grades.
- Consistently striving to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.
- Must be able to compile daily data and send to appropriate groups.
- Utilize the full spectrum of tools at hand to maximize grower returns.
- Mechanically inclined.
- May encompass other duties than those listed.
