Senior Project Manager
Location: Texas Dallas Huston or Austin
Stelvio are working with a client seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, organization, budgeting and daily operation of a complex project
.You will take ownership of client engagement and project delivery, including contractual scope, supporting teams, financial performance and the resources required to meet project obligations. The role has a strong focus on customer relationship management, commercial awareness and contract management
.Responsibilitie
sIn this role, you will
- :Manage the overall client relationship throughout the project
- .Identify and engage key stakeholders while understanding relationships within the client organization
- .Act as the primary client contact, providing regular updates on project progress, risks and opportunities
- .Monitor client satisfaction and respond promptly to concerns
- .Build long-term relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors and vendors at all levels
- .Stay informed about changing client requirements and relevant industry developments
- .Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget and resource allocation
- .Oversee project execution, maintenance and closeout
- .Ensure delivery complies with quality standards, safety regulations and contractual requirements
- .Establish and maintain appropriate change-control processes
- .Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes and regulations governing construction and IT projects
- .Lead, mentor and motivate engineers, technical specialists and other project team members
- .Promote collaboration, effective communication and knowledge sharing
- .Oversee the negotiation, administration and management of client, subcontractor and vendor contracts
- .Monitor contractual deliverables, milestones, terms and payment schedules
- .Track project performance and maintain accurate reporting and forecasting
- .Manage budgets, costs and resource allocation
- .Produce timely and accurate project financial reports
- .Establish budget controls and escalate significant financial concerns
- .Take responsibility for project-level profit and loss
- .Develop and manage operating budgets
- .Identify project risks and establish mitigation plans to reduce disruption and potential liquidated damages
- .Manage internal and external complaints toward mutually beneficial resolutions
- .Undertake additional project responsibilities when required
.Qualification
sYou will need
- :A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a comparable subject
- .PMP certification
- .At least five years of experience managing highly complex projects
- .Proven experience delivering complex operational projects on time and within budget
- .Senior-level customer relationship management experience
- .Strong project management and financial management capabilities
- .Effective negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- .The ability to work with stakeholders throughout all levels of an organization
- .A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
- .Experience guiding and mentoring office-based and field-based team members
- .Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- .A clear commitment to integrity and operational excellence
- .Experience using project management software
- .Knowledge of ERP platforms such as NetSuite or SAP
- .Knowledge of Agile methodology
- .Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
- .The ability to create and generate detailed project reports
- .An understanding of Oracle and Java-based environments
