Position Summary: The Patient Registration Specialist is responsible for registering patients and scheduling appointments in a timely and friendly manner.
Essential Functions
- Greet patients
- Collect patient demographic information
- Verify insurance coverage
- Collect payments
- Schedule appointments
- Provide backup coverage for clinic switchboard
Education/Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of 1 year of medical office experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and basic medical terminology
- EMR experience, Epic preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
