Position Summary: The Clinical Support Team Specialist supports the coordination of patient care by performing select administrative and clinical tasks.
Essential Functions
- Greets and rooms patients.
- May assist with patient transport/mobility needs.
- Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, and faxes.
- Prepares and cleans patient exam and procedure rooms.
- Assists with instrument and equipment set-up/clean-up for clinical procedures.
- Operates autoclave, sanitizes, and properly stores medical instruments.
- Ensures clinical exam rooms and stations are properly stocked with supplies and materials.
- Handles patient specimen drop off and lab delivery.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications
· High School diploma required.
· Current CPR certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
· Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
· Excellent communication and patient relations abilities.
· Multitasking and organizational skills.
· High degree of confidentiality.
