We are seeking a detail-oriented Microbiologist to join a critical public health initiative. This position focuses on environmental surveillance, specifically performing molecular testing on wastewater samples to detect pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, Influenza, and RSV.

Shift: Mon Fri, 8:15 AM 4:45 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Molecular Analysis: Conduct wastewater sample concentration and RNA extraction.
- Testing: Perform qPCR/PCR molecular testing to identify pathogens of public health concern.
- Data Validation: Evaluate, interpret, and validate laboratory results for official reporting.
- Lab Maintenance: Manage inventory, perform Quality Control (QC) checks, and maintain safety standards.
What You'll Need (Core Requirements)
- Education: 4-year degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a Biological Science.
- Technical Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience performing RNA extraction and qPCR testing.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of molecular scientific methods and laboratory safety protocols.
- Communication: Ability to compile technical data into clear reports and collaborate with a team.
