Responsibilities:
About The Role
As an Occupational Therapist (OT), your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating residents and developing individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs and goals
- Providing therapeutic activities and interventions that promote independence and daily living skills
- Monitoring resident progress and documenting treatment and outcomes
- Helping residents improve their ability to perform daily activities following injury, illness, or other conditions
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment
- Collaborating with nursing, therapy, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated resident care
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Vermont Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
